This is a previously owned and used transparent purple / white buttons vintage Bandai Tamagotchi 1997. It was cared for, and still has its original battery protector tab. However, one of the old batteries did leak during storage, which I have cleaned up during my usual pre-sales detailing and testing [photo of battery compartment]. I put fresh batteries in and the device appears to work just fine. The backplate screwheads look used but the screws came out effortlessly with no stripping. So I re-set it, and re-inserted the original battery protector tab. There is very minor surface scuffing of the shell, a clean screen, and this vintage virtual pet looks really great!
