Their are few pieces of audio equipment that hold the status of the Rockport System III Sirius. A tour de force of engineering, a no holds barred attack on what a turntable can be. A small production run of thirty two tables that were built in the late 90's thru early 2000's puts this table in the group of rare engineering marvels that keeps company with the likes of the Ferrari 250 GTO. Our example is serial number 9603 and was purchased from the original owner in 2019 and was installed in a dedicated listening room until 2022 when it was placed in temperature and humidity controlled storage. I was personally responsible for maintaining this table for the owner, and the table operated flawlessly. I have recently unpacked the turntable and have gone through a careful setup and testing. As a courtesy for the new owner the compressor diaphragms were replaced, and the original vinyl aquarium hose inside the compressor box was replaced with modern air lines. Although the Sirius III is a complex system, setup is about as easy as any turntable I've setup. Cartridge changes and setup can be done very quickly, making the table a joy to use.
