This listing is for one 1 ounce bottle of home cultivated fresh Rhodiola root tincture. I’ve been growing Rhodiola Wallachiana on my property at 9,000 feet in Colorado since around 2010. I started propagating them extensively from seeds and cuttings and have a few thousand plants. I grow Wallachiana instead of Rosea because it is drought tolerant and requires much less water. It is from the Himalayas where it is used as plant medicine and like Rosea it is a powerful adaptogen. Even though it’s said that Rhodiola roots take 5 years to mature, I’ve found they are better after 6 or 7 years up here. This tincture is handcrafted from homegrown 6-7 year old roots and rhizomes. I tincture them fresh, when the roots have been out of the ground for less than an hour. It's hard to imagine that anyone else has the opportunity to tincture Rhodiola roots that are as fresh. I’ve bought dried Rhodiola roots and made tincture from them and it was good but nothing like this. I put the roots in a mason jar and break them down with an immersion blender and let them macerate in an 80/20 grain alcohol / water mixture for around 2 months. I put as much root as will fit packed into the jar to get a strong brew. The result is a deep and rich amber tincture with vibrant properties which you can see in the photo. I’ve tried a lot of wonderful herbs including fresh wild American ginseng which is incredible and this tincture compares favorably. I think I’ll post fresh dug roots in the fall which are a real treat so come back and look for that listing or be in touch with any questions.
